The Laboratory of Mechanics and Civil Engineering (LMGC) has been a joint research unit of the CNRS and the University of Montpellier since 1991.
Its activities revolve around three thematic axes:
These themes reconcile structuring upstream research and applied research at the heart of innovation and industry, health and environmental concerns.
130 people make up our laboratory, grouped into eight disciplinary research teams, two common services and cells carrying out missions of collective interest.
The research at the LMGC also focuses on three associated structures:
- The Experimental Mechanics Characterization and Imaging Platform (CIME)
- The prototyping and additive manufacturing platform (PRO3D)
- The Joint Micromechanics and Integrity of STructures (MIST)
